You can now optionally collect a phone number at checkout, helpful for some shippers. Turn this on from Sell → Customise.
Phone numbers are displayed on subscription pages and are included in subscription CSV exports.
Postage rates for active subscriptions can now be updated when editing products. Updating postage prices can help cover the new EU customs duty that starts on July 1st, 2026.
Full line items are now shown in checkout summaries, including the price, postage, tax and discounts.
It is now clearer to customers that the billing post code in the card details field is different from the shipping post code field.
The billing post code field now auto-updates to what was entered in the shipping address post/ZIP code field, but can be edited.
"ZIP code" is now shown when United States is selected as the shipping country. US states also appear in a dropdown at checkout, rather than a free text field.
Subsail now supports adding specific US state tax rates for print subscriptions.
Subsail's retry schedule has been updated to help you capture more subscriptions renewals. Subsail will now retry failed payments up to five times over a period of 14 days, rather than three times over a period of five days.
Additionally, any charges scheduled for a weekend will be pushed to the following Monday.
There's a new page in Subsail to help you view renewals data for each issue at Manage → Renewals.
This page lists renewal stats for each issue, including total renewals, successful renewals, and "retry boost", the amount of subscriptions captured during Subsail's retry schedule.
Emails sent from Subsail on your behalf are now sent from Your Magazine <[email protected]> rather than your
specified "From" email address set in Communicate → Settings.
This change, along with some other improvements, should help increase deliverability and improve placement of emails sent from Subsail.
The "From" email address is now used as the "Reply to" address, so any replies to emails sent from Subsail will be sent to you.
Sales fees are now calculated based on the total sales amount for the previous billing period including renewals, rather than just new subscriptions sold.
The CSV export system has been rewritten to be more performant, especially with larger datasets.
There is also a new CSV export option for Pirate Ship.
It's now possible for publishers to edit names and email address of gifters when editing a subscription.
There is no pagination on the Issues page. If you've ever encountered 503 errors on this page in the past, this fixes them.
Subscriber and Subscription search now includes a lot more data points, and support partial search. So you now you can search "pet" and get results for "Peter J" and "[email protected]".
