When it comes to renewing subscriptions and memberships, Subsail has a dunning process which automatically retries charges up to five times over a fourteen day period.

Renewal days are:

• initial charge date (the "Recurring charge date" you added to an issue, or a membership's renewal date)
• day 1 after initial charge date
• day 4 after initial charge date
• day 9 after initial charge date
• day 14 after initial charge date

If a retry is scheduled for a weekend day, it will be retried on the next weekday. For example, if day 4 is on a Saturday, it will be delayed two days and be attempted on the Monday. Any following retries will be related to this new date (day 9's attempt will be made on day 11).

A subscription/membership is cancelled after the fourth retry attempt.

Any subscriptions/memberships in dunning are marked “Past due” in your account. On a subscription/membership page, you will see the grey “Past due” label followed by the next retry date.
